Are you struggling to learn all those exam pieces? Do you need help with the fine detail of each AMEB exam piece?
I hear this all the time from my students and have spent many years showing my pupils exactly how to practice in order to get the most from each piece. Doubtless there is nothing online that can substitute what having a good guitar teacher can do, but I believe this is a huge step in the right direction.
I could not find a useful resource on Youtube or online and so intend to provide a video and performance notes for each piece in the AMEB Classical Guitar Syllabus (series 2). Given there are a total of 86 compositions from Preliminary through to fourth grade this is of course a work in progress; please be in touch if you are working on an AMEB piece that hasn’t been included yet and I will be happy to make it a priority. I am also happy to include pieces from the first series of AMEB classical guitar books and extra list pieces from the AMEB manual of syllabuses (2015) upon request.
Media Luna Guitar Tuition does not endorse playing from photocopies. All scores for these pieces are available directly from www.ameb.edu.au or are also for sale at the Media Luna Guitar Tuition studios in Brunswick West.
