Feed Me To The Forest
Feed me to the Forest is a haunting composition written in tribute to the Aokigahara forest in Japan. Right on the edge of Mount Fuji, the Aokigahara Forest is a place from which many people have intentionally never returned.
This composition is set in 7/16 meter which makes the pace of the piece particularly unsettling. The repeated use of the G Sharp against the D Major chord creates a spectacular set of overtones, conjuring up the image of a window opening up to another reality.

The Masque of the Red Death
A modern and extensive suite in seven movements based on the gothic novel of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe. A story drawing upon the medieval plague and how Prince Prospero and other wealthy nobles take refuge in his abbey. This work feels indeed meaningful and accurate having been composed during our own pandemic times. This composition depicts the fears and worries as well as the many political and rich v. poor issues that the pandemic have also brought up again in modern times.

13 Short Pieces for Solo Guitar
13 short pieces based on 3 scenes from 13 horror films. These short miniatures are by no means intended to be film music, but aim to capture the essence, colours and feelings of the selected scenes. Cinema fans may enjoy guessing the films based on the cryptic titles – though, of course, please get in touch and I’ll fill you in.
